Jerry Conrad

Chairman

Jerry Conrad is the Chairman of Unidos and its primary shareholder. He has a long history of innovation in consumer finance, with more than 30 years experience in analytics, financial services, software development, insurance and risk management. He founded the Primary Group of Companies, where he introduced the concept of micro-loans on prepaid debit cards, and Qualitative Credit Systems, a provider of credit decisioning using neural networks to evaluate transaction behavior. He also co-founded the First National Bank of Marin, the first issuer of a secured credit card. He has created underwriting engines for insurance companies, identified the correlation between credit files and probability of at-fault auto accidents, and built risk detection and mitigation analytics software for major re-insurance companies.


Jon Ness

CEO

Jon Ness has 18 years of experience in the Money Transfer Industry beginning his career with Ria Financial Services. In all, Jon spent 11 years with Ria and was the eventual Global SVP of Business Development and Worldwide Sales as well as new channel and corridor development. During his tenure with Ria Jon developed and expanded new payout corridors and remittance services to more than 50 countries attributing to significant growth and value creation. In 2008, Jon co-founded Tempo Financial Services (i-transfer) based in Denver, Colorado which operates in 7 countries with more than 70,000 points of payment worldwide. Most recently, i-transfer agreed to merge with Unidos Financial Services, which offers a diverse range of other payment products and services. Jon was appointed as CEO of UFS in 2014 and also serves on its Board. Jon has a B.S. from Wabash College and an MBA from Thunderbird. He is also POST certified as a Peace Officer with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department where he currently volunteers on Patrol as a Reserve Deputy.


Daniel Marlo

Founder and Director

Daniel Marlo founded Unidos in 2006 and served as its CEO. He was previously VP of Business Development and General Counsel at Epana, a telecommunications company serving Hispanics, and was a counselor and adviser to venture capital funds and emerging growth companies while at Gunderson Dettmer. He holds a JD from the Northwestern University School of Law and a BA in Economics from Georgetown University and took advanced coursework at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
